Unable to afford weekly voice lessons? Check out my tips on budget-friendly ways for learning to sing!

I’ll be honest with you: I know that voice lessons are not always affordable. In my own work as a voice teacher, I try to keep costs at a reasonable rate so that those that want to learn how to sing can do it without paying an arm or leg for it. With that being said, I recognize that not everyone can afford weekly voice lessons. But here’s the thing: there ARE other ways of learning how to sing without paying for weekly lessons! Here are some ways to do it:

  1. Try out a membership program! A lot of membership programs offer feedback on your singing AND lessons on the fundamentals of singing at a fraction of the cost of weekly lessons. My program, The Curious Singer, offers both of these things plus mindset materials designed to help you navigate your singing struggles and discounts on drop in lessons. I offer all of this at less than half the price of weekly lessons; however there are plenty of programs out there similar to mine that can help you develop your voice without breaking the bank.

  2. Check out YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram for singing resources! Okay, this isn’t the best option, but it’s a completely free resource that will help get your feet wet. The only reason why I say that this isn’t the best option is because it’s very “one-sided” learning: you can learn a ton of information, but there’s no one to provide feedback on your singing. However, I still think that all of the platforms mentioned are wonderful resources, especially if you’re on the fence when it comes to whether you want to learn to sing or not. You can follow me on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube for more singing tips!

  3. Take a drop in lesson! This option still costs money, but there’s no required weekly commitment. A single lesson will always cost less than paying for weekly lessons, and it’s a good opportunity to get feedback on your singing (especially if you’ve only been learning to sing from YouTube). You can book a drop in lesson with me here.

Remember: you don’t need to drop a ton of money to learn how to sing. All of the options listed above are super helpful alternatives to weekly lessons, and I hope that you take advantage of one of these resources!
